Yes, there are probably some people supporting Hillary primarily because she is a woman. So what?

There are a significant number of people who want to see a woman President, just like there were a significant number of people who wanted to see an African-American President eight years ago. Was it simply a coincidence that Obama received the vast majority of of the votes from African-Americans during the 2008 primary? Why was that not a bad thing, but women supporting Hillary because of her gender is?

She and her supporters can't have it both ways......although I am sure they try.

There were also many whites who opposed President Obama because of his race. Were they racist?

It's isn't hard to tell the difference between the motivation between these two examples.

What does it accomplish to complain about people voting for a candidate for any particular reason? People resent being scolded for their decisions no matter who they support.

If being female is the only criteria what does that say about a race between a male candidate vs. a Carly Fiorina.

I'm fighting for them as well and your "point" here shows just how far we have to go in even getting people to recognize this serious issue.

What you are seeing in opposition in this area isn't honest. It is an underlying issue we have in society when talking about women. Some things are really eye openers. I was just told by a poster that sexism and on a whole is a wedge issue. Pardon my French, it's become that fucked up around these parts.

My post here said "who am I to judge?". The point of that op was to prove there are plenty of reasons we support Hillary. Who am I to judge people's reasons?

But an accomplished woman from the Democratic Party, who does not have many positions different than President Obama's, it shouldn't be a mystery that people would like to see her as the first woman as President.

... voting for a woman partly because she's a woman is as sexist as voting against a woman because she's a woman?
