He was a legend on GDP in DU2. His daily tweet-posts are memorable.

Stick to internet news websites, it makes life a lot easier.

I dont think so. Obama will mobilize the youth vote again and many Repubs will abstain from voting since Romney is a Northern RHINO in many Southern Republican eyes.

No incumbent with a shaky economy and 8.5% unemployment is assured of re-election--even if things have gotten better since he came in office.

Unemployment is still too high, people are still losing their homes. And really, should anyone who cannot tell the difference between lose and loose be saying anyone "ain't the smartest guy in the world".

other prominent liberal talk show hosts are partly responsible for demoralizing the Democratic Party base before 2010. Ed himself vowed not to vote for Obama if he did "such and such" or didn't do "such and such".

Plus, I'm always very amazed at how misinformed and unprepared Big Ed often is. Don't get me wrong; I love Ed Schultz. I just think he's not very bright sometimes and is too quick to anger before thinking things through.

ETA: With all that said, I do think Obama is vulnerable. He's vulnerable due to Citizens United, Voter ID laws and other shenanigans to steal the vote, and a weak economy that's getting better but hasn't stabilized. Obama is vulnerable because we have a complicit Corporate Media that refuses to educate Americans about how governance works. And he is vulnerable because he is forced to work with a Congress that is determined to see him fail even if the country goes down with him.

Again: high dissatisfaction, but trending down. Reagan managed to pass the magic pivot point in early 1984, and went on to beat Walter Mondale like a rented mule.

In August 1983, a year and two months out from the 1984 election, unemployment was at 9.5 percent. It was 9.1 percent in August 2011.
