Former U.S. Sec. of State Hillary Clinton is out front with Florida Democrats while businessman Donald Trump and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., are ahead on the Republican side, a new poll shows.
St. Leo University released a poll on Wednesday showing Clinton with a commanding lead in the Sunshine State. A majority of Florida Democrats--51 percent--support Clinton. The poll was started before Vice President Joe Biden closed the door on running for the Democratic nomination and he places a distant second with 15 percent. U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., garners 13 percent.

(23,946 posts)Democrats want the next President to continue the policies of Obama, policies and attitudes that are soon to destroy the GOP, or they are forced to come to their senses.
The calm and grace of Obama, not to mention his steady popularity, continues to drive them off a cliff.

Some folks have been insisting that Clinton can't possibly win a national election. I';; let the survey data speak for itself.

Looking good for next November, particularly with HRC destroying the two GOP native sons.

(5,792 posts)in many of the polls mentioned on DU today. If they keep saying she's winning (like those on here) then the low information voter will think it true...sort of brainwashing those who do not have time to research. They just go to work, come home, eat and sleep. The MSM keeps saying it, the polls keeping (oddly) saying it, so it must be true...but wasn't it just before the debate that she seemed worried...I think she took out the big guns. Bernie is not finished yet. Feeling the Bern.

(6,437 posts)And always has been in every poll taken without Biden since this summer. Now that he is out, Clinton is absorbing about 70% of his support.
There is no great polling conspiracy.

(17,505 posts)What? What does "blowing out" mean?
Well it's better than her being "on Joe Biden".
If it's some kind of superlative, 51% isn't an amazing majority y'know.

(28,749 posts)I heard through the grapevine Bernie does well with that demo, or at least he will do a good job attracting it in the GE?

(80,708 posts)Not hugely surprising. Clinton's base skews older, bigtime, too.
