2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHillary and Bernie should campaign in blue collar NYC
They should campaign in NYC blue collar white enclaves like Staten Island, Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, Maspeth, Queens. They should try to attract these voters that voted for Rudy Giuliani in 1989, 1993, 1997. Rustbelt voters are key.

(19,877 posts)3. Bensonhurst isn't exactly the rustbelt.
I'm a Brooklyn native. Happy Hillary's HQ is in BK. But no way is Bensonhurst or SI going for either candidate.

(36,437 posts)4. Hillary actually won Richmond County (Staten Island) in 2006
Albeit on low turnout against a no-name opponent. She lost Richmond County in 2000 to Rick Lazio, but simply wiped the floor with him in all other NYC counties, ending with a greater than 3-1 vote total in the five boroughs.
