The Right's Obsession with Saul Alinsky is taking a sinister turn.

At the very time the results in Florida were becoming clear, this page went up on the net:

ROMNEY'S CONNECTION TO SAUL ALINSKY
http://www.wnd.com/2012/01/romneys-connection-to-saul-alinsky/

The main focus of the article is on Mitt's father, George W. Romeny
There's also a link to another page published on January 30:

Photo Exclusive: When George Romney Met Saul Alinsky
http://www.buzzfeed.com/andrewkaczynski/photo-exclusive-when-george-romney-met-saul-alins

Following the vermin trail further leads to a 2008 article by Harry Alford,
The President/CEO of the National Black Chamber of Commerce: -

Is Mitt Romney a Racist, Part II
http://www.nationalbcc.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1442:is-mitt-romney-a-racist-part-ii&catid=63:beyond-the-rhetoric&Itemid=8

The answer Henry Alford gives is NO. The Romney Family has a legacy of pro-civil rights, progressive activism and an understanding of how poverty and inequality can hurt people.

Stunned? he asks. Mr Alford goes on to provide a good account of George W. Romney's substantial contributions to civil rights, including outspoken support for voting rights in the South.

If the Gingrich campaign or sympathizers, are considering a Southern Strategy based on George W. Romney's record and remarks, things will get very ugly indeed.

Whether it be those who sell out members of their own race or gender or ethnicity or sexual orientation or even political party-- for their own personal benefit.

Someone like West is so contemptible and Cain closely behind. Does anyone REALLY think that they truly BELIEVE the vile lies they tell--those that hurt the efforts to bring true equality to others that they long left behind to their own benefit?

West be shamed? Hardly. His embrace of those kind of contemptible lies have brought him fame, recognition, political position--and money. I doubt he could be shamed.

make me sick to see men who got where they did because other fought for that right. It was because of Rosa Parks or MLK who stood up for their rights and the rest of the black community. West and Cain are the worst kind of people who took advantage to step over others.

3. They are dog whistling, but no one is really saying what they're Nudge-Wink suggesting.

When they say "Saul Alinsky" they just aren't falsely saying "nefarious radical commie activist"--they're saying "Jewish nefarious radical commie activist."

And they're saying it like it's a bad thing. There's an unspoken, nasty bit of racism happening with this poor fellah Alinsky, who most people never heard of before this latest faked and phony drama-poutrage about the guy (who seemed like a pretty sharp individual, actually, when you read all about him).

No one really wants to bring up George Romney's "record." No one CARES. They might want to bring up the fact that his grandpappy was a polygamist, that in the Romney family line there are six grooms for forty one brides, that "Chihuahua George" was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, and not the Good Ole USA, and that he thought he was brainwashed by generals during the Vietnam era, but beyond that, they're not going to get down in any "Saul Alinsky" or "George Romney" weeds.

There's too much low-hanging fruit on Mitt, already. They haven't even tapped the Kennedy - Romney Senate debate tapes--those are a treasure trove of Mittsy Flippsy, along with flop sweat, stumbles, squeals and squeaks. We're talking a HIDEOUS performance of pathetic pandering, the sky being the limit. And then, there's his flipping and flopping and lying and pleading that he put on video in his effort to become governor of Massachusetts.

That guy has more positions than the Kama Sutra. They'll be his undoing.

I say let the right, and anyone else who wants to, tear the jerk to shreds (like a pack of dogs who don't want to ride on the roof). If they want to do our OPPO work for us, more power to them.
