The Federal Reserve is a convenient punching bag on both ends of the ideological spectrum, largely because the general public doesn't have any idea what it actually is or does, so you'll occasionally see some strange bedfellows.

Edit: Ron, not Rand; this was back in the House.

4. It was added to Dodd Frank, the audit was done in 2011. That's how we know about the $16 trillion...

As I posted before with video, he switched at the last moment to support the watered-down version. Paul did not know until the last moment and put out a video explaining how he felt betrayed...if you search DU you should be able to find it...j
