The national headlines are only part of the problem. The GOP Senate nominee has caused immeasurable damage because of the timing of his remarks as well. At a time when part of the Democratic message is that the GOP is conducting a war on women, Akin has provided Democrats with a limitless supply of ammunition for use against GOP candidates.
The quick condemnations from Republicans across the nation signal the deep concern about the potential blowback.

(1,574 posts)is being reminded again of what the modern GOP's all about. It also shines another light on Ryan's extremism. I don't know how and intelligent women would vote for these people. Then again I think most don't.

it's quite a sight to see them apparently trying to drop this guy.
like, they managed to say something so outrageous even THEY know it's toxic!

If Ryan does down, so will Romney.
