Obama's win on Medicare: Medicare for All!

Why not bring this into the debate? O should say his thinking has evolved and now he sees that the only way to make Medicare solvent beyond 2025 is to bring everyone into the system.

Medicare is not free. You pay premiums and you pay taxes ---lots of taxes in a lifetime---to get the benefits. But if everyone contributes, everyone benefits, and they shouldn't have to wait until age 65 to get them.

Keep it simple like this and let Mittens and the R's tie themselves in knots trying to explain how their "Medicare at age 67" is better.

When the weasel Ryan talks about choice, let Biden ask the obvious question.

You want choice?

Well how about letting persons under 65 choose the government plan?

Medicare opt in.

Where does that leave the pitiful Ryan?

Holding his privates and begging for his mommy.

For any state that chooses not to set up an insurance exchange, the federal government lets their uninsured into Medicare for the same amount that they would pay to an insurance exchange (formula is already decided, I believe). Just lower the age of acceptance in those states to birth.

It would be cheaper than paying insurance companies for the coverage, the system is already in place, and Medicare is already popular. The more people in Medicare, the healthier the system would be, especially if the new participants are younger and healthier.
