Building on momentum has a long march. But each step is important

Now that there is actual excitement for Hillary Clinton, we can help hold her to promises or undermine her. I choose the former. I know the majority of Democrats do as well.

From last nightThe Hillary Clinton we saw late last night at the Iowa Democratic Party’s Jefferson Jackson Dinner was the Hillary we knew was there, underneath the overly-managed image. This Hillary was authentic, confident, funny, and found her own style of cool – at times dropping into a conversational tone that rings true. These moments really resonated.

The crowd welcomed her to the stage with a deafening roar, the Hillary people spiritedly waving their blue light-sabers.

The 2016 Democratic candidate for president started off by unifying Democrats, “Did any of you see our debate in Las Vegas? You know, when Republicans debate, they compete to insult each other, demean women, and they double down on trickle-down. Actually, it is reality TV, with a cast of characters who don’t care much about actual reality.”

And your point being to not hold Hillary to promises to contain Wall Street and go farther than Glass Steagall.

(And cut me some slack. I've been locked out of both HRC's and BS's groups.)

To pay. You don't think her campaign donors are that altruistic, do you?

Most know they need new legislation and regulations to make it possible to keep the books straight. And I happen to agree with her that you can't just prepare for a repeat collapse. You have to anticipate different sources of potential abuse.

For a quick fix. They all got rich from the last bailout. They gave themselves bonuses to the tune of millions in taxpayer money. They will do it again.

If Sanders is correct, and if Clinton is correct, (they both can be correct and double efforts) it's best to have all hands on deck. The main thing is to get a majority in the Senate and make the argument loud and clear so all voters understand that Wall Street needs serious policing.

New regulations are already having an net positive effect.
