should rethink his presidency bid since he will be having to uphold the laws of the US.

pretending he could have used whistleblower protections and still got his information about illegal spying out to the public. Clinton also emphasized the alleged harm he did.

Sanders believed he performed a useful function that should be taken into account in deciding what punishment he should face. He did think he should be tried, but suggested that the punishment should be relatively mild because of the value of his whistleblowing.
