Did the press overdo Hillary's debate performance? Maybe, but...
Let's not forget that the press had been on an absolute rampage against her for several months. I don't think very many candidates have been treated in a less favorable way than Hillary Clinton has been over the past several months. That there's now a little bit of hyperbole over what was objectively a pretty good debate performance strikes me as perfectly fine.
