I don't know how they choose the participants, but the focus groups did not seem to think Clinton won, although they didn't seem to think Sanders won, either. I kind of agree with the Slate Magazine analysis, that Clinton won because all she had to do was avoid losing her temper, and she did much better than that. All she had to do was prove there was no obvious reason she could not be the front runner, and she did that, so she "won" in that sense. And I think she "won" by convincing doubtful Democratic primary voters they are safe in supporting her. Sanders probably "won" in terms of convincing independents and moderate Republicans, and attracting Democrats who were not familiar with him, but that doesn't help him much in the primary.

And voters knew that she would fight Wall Street on behalf of the 99% when she said that as a Senator she had gone to Wall Street and told them to cut it out. And I loved the fact that she conveniently misremembered what she had said about the TPP being the gold standard. And her claim that Snowden could have educated the public about unconstitutional surveillance and received whistleblower protections had he played ball was so believable. And don't get me started on legalization of Marijuana. Her firm resolve to wait and see was impressive.

I thought O'Malley did too.

Chafee, well he is done now right?

Webb, scary dude. Bright, yes. He has done some good things but scary dude.

For me it was Bernie but it would take a lot for me to say otherwise. He may or may not have debated the best, I can't judge that since I do not know thing 1 about actual debating but he said what I wanted and needed to hear.

Of course there are going to be thousands of Bernie posts here, it is just how it shook out this time. I find it as uncomfortable being in the big group as I did being in the tiny group all those elections with Kucinich. I wish it was not like this.

Anyway, she did great. If she is saying what you want and need to hear then good and hooray for you. For me, I can't take all this DU crap much longer and that is from the big group advantage. Oh well.
