Hillary Clinton serves notice to Bernie Sanders: No more truce

Hillary Clinton serves notice to Bernie Sanders: No more truce
Amber Phillips
Washington Post

Here's a running list of Hillary Clinton's jabs at Sanders so far:

"I'm a progressive," she replied. "But I'm a progressive who likes to get things done."

Clinton had a pithy response: "We are not in Denmark."

"I voted against it. It wasn't that complicated to me," she said. "It was pretty straightforward to me that he was going to give immunity to the only industry in America. Everyone else has to be accountable, but not the gun industry."

Clinton has come under scrutiny from her time as a senator in New York for being too cozy to Wall Street, so she had a lot to prove in her answer to Cooper. Which is one reason why she said:

"Well, my plan is more comprehensive. And frankly, it's tougher."

and that was the best response, because he wanted to focus on the issues, which is what Americans wanted, not a circus show.

Patriotism is the idea that your country is better than all others simply because you were born in it.

IMHO it's also started more wars and killed more people than I'd like to remember.

In fact, for that reason Hillary scares me as much as any declared candidate, Democratic or Republican.

I think she's crazy for war.

CLINTON: Well, in addition to the NRA, the health insurance companies, the drug companies, the Iranians.

Our health care systems sucks compared to most countries in terms of giving people access to care.

We're failing as an industrial nation because our own industries have no loyalty to America anymore, and have turned their back on us.

isn't true. The gun industry in America is NOT the only industry that has successfully dodged accountability. We can name big oil, which was able to weasel itself out of accountability for clean water. Big tobacco, who has consistently been protected from such liability. Wall Street, where not one CEO has been tried for malfeasance.

So that was a good, pithy answer, yeah, but it wasn't true. And, I don't think her plan to deal with the banks is tougher than Bernie's either.

That said, she did have a good debate, but I'm still for Bernie.

But real life isn't twitter.
Poking twitter-like jabs isn't an in depth debate/discussion, with all Dems involved.

And maybe Hillary can let go of David Brock and company, and that entire negative point of view. Just so issues can come more clearly into focus, without the hate.
