Please don't get over-confident. We still have lots of hard work to do, my friends.

I want to believe those polls, but voter suppression is all too real and the only way for us to counter it is with a massive GOTV drive.

If you've never made phone calls before, please think about it for this election. It's especially easy if you're calling on election day (or week). You just call known Democratic voters and read from a script, reminding them to vote. A seven year old could do it.

(Actually one of my kids did do it at that age. He came with me and got bored with his Legos. When he saw how easy it was he asked if he could help. And people were extremely nice to him!)

Yes. I did that in an election once. The lists I was given to call were from a swing state. pnwmom Aug 2012 #8

Is there a way we can call people in the battleground states?

And I also remember making these calls from my own home. Couldn't have been easier.

because of Romney's pick. With the Republicans of control of the state government it wouldn't be beneath them to steal the election. Same goes for Ohio, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, etc. We can't afford to get cocky.

Remember these rethugs are doing EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING to stop democrats from voting and right now unless the Justice Department sues Ohio for this ridiculous law that rethug Counties get more time and days to vote early than democrat Counties Ohio just might flip red which means CHECKMATE!! even though Obama is looking good in the polls. This is how we get ourselves in trouble thinking we have it in the bag also remember there are millions of people in this country who don't follow politics everyday like we hear on DU and the only time they get involved is when it's time to vote they might be misinformed or out of the loop about everything like the Ryan Budget.Case in point I was talking to a female friend the other day and said to her it's a shame what the republicans are trying to do to stop us(African Americans ) from voting in November and she started asking me when did this happen and didn't even know about all the states that have voter ID laws she didn't have a CLUE what I was talking about I was flabbergasted and she's a person who votes every Presidential election and is a democrat. So don't assume everybody knows what Romney is a TOTAL DICK and Ryan is just as bad.Hears another case in point Ed had a caller the other day that said QUOTE: I don't believe that when Ed explained to him about Romney trying to raise taxes on the middle class and give a tax cut to rich people. And remember a lot of these people listen to Fox News

it's too early to celebrate. Anything can change in the international and political climate. Dems have to use this opportunity to work "harder" to clinch this election. I asked a young lady in the elevator on the 7tht if she voted. She told me "no, I'm not even registered." She asked me "Who should I vote for?" I said,"Vote Democrat and vote for Obama. Ask one of the ladies at the poll where do you go to get registered..." She said, "I will.." Sad to say there are TOO MANY YOUNG PEOPLE like this. We have to WORK now and CELEBRATE later!
