Related: About this forumDana Loesch Says Romney will Pick VP on Friday & it will be Bobby Jindal
First off,why would they make such an important announcement at the end of the work week (a Friday? Seriously?) and why not wait til the Olympics are over?
Second, Bobby Jindal? We all Dana is a reputable source and never wrong on her reporting,so its a done deal. There it is.End of story. (LOL)
"Tea Party and GOP flacks are atwitter over rumors that Romney's VP selection might be announced tomorrow. Breitbart editor Dana Loesch is calling it for Bobby Jindal"

(1,374 posts)to go after their opponents more harshly than the candidate for president. Can you even imagine Jindal in that role? LOL! Christie is a more likely choice than Jindal. It won't be either one unless Romney is too stupid to learn from McCain's fatal mistake of picking Palin. Romney does need a 'game changer' at this point but he could do that with Ryan as a much safer choice.

I suspect that pick won't go over well.

But whoever he picks, I look forward to Joe Biden taking them down.

(14,177 posts)Mitt is already on thin ice bein a mormon. He has to pick a white xian dude to balance the ticket. My bet is still on Portman. I think he should go with Rudy though.

(20,450 posts)It'll be Portman, unfortunately. I fear him the most.

(1,277 posts)Portman is not going to deliver Ohio for Romney. And he's got enough Bush slime on him to leave a trail from LA to Bangor.

(1,277 posts)Its been great fun so far. When you live behind enemy lines in Oklahoma you need all the outlets to talk politics you can get. I went to Obama's rally in Sprinfield, Mo. In 2008 the Saturday night before the election. I had never been around that many Dems in all my days. That night was incredible and this isn't half bad either.

(894 posts)Choices are fairly limited.
I don't think there is a decent VP candidate on the right at this time.
We know that there wasn't a decent Pres candidate.
Jindal is somewhat of a joke since his Volcano moment.
Christy may be better, but still weak.
Palin? Not really viable, but it would solidify the baggers.
I'd almost say Bachman, but, could anybody take her seriously? (She'd bring the baggers and the fundies, then they could hope that the sisterhood would be a factor, but that's a stretch.)
This is a bad field.

(33,497 posts)It will probably be Jindal or Ryan.

Dana Loesch graduated from Fox High School in Arnold, Missouri. She attended St. Louis Community College at Meramec before transferring to Webster University to study journalism. She dropped out after meeting her husband, Chris, with whom she homeschools two children. Loesch used to be a liberal, but became a conservative after the September 11 attacks.
Dana is just a younger version of Ann Coulter ..... she says stupid right wing crap for $.

(22,000 posts)He would be a weak VP pick from a state where Romney needs no help. The only advantage he offers is as a minority. Jindal would be a huge risk (ala Palin) and I strongly believe there are many other VP picks who are safer. I know the Romney campaign are a bunch of incompetent weasels, but I don't think they'd fuck this up given McCain did such a bad job with it in 2008.
I still think it's down to one of three guys:
Ryan, Palwenty, or Portman
progressivebydesign
(19,458 posts)Then he will get a convention bounce.
We cannot let the tax returns fall by the wayside. That is what Tricky Mitt wants to happen... his VP choices are boring as fuck, except maybe the teabillie darling Paul Ryan. But the media will be all over his pick... and praising him. So be ready.
And dont' forget the tax returns.
