Romney announces four state Snooze Tour beginning Saturday

Mitt Romney will launch a four-state bus tour through Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and Ohio on Saturday, his campaign announced Monday afternoon.

The announcement set off a firestorm of speculation Romney could announce his running mate during the tour. The only time indication the Romney campaign has given is to say the VP announcement will come before the Republican national convention begins, in Tampa on Aug. 27.

All four stops on the bus tour are critical swing states that Romney likely needs to carry if he's going to win the presidency.

The "Romney Plan For A Stronger Middle Class" bus tour will start in Virginia on Saturday and roll south to North Carolina, then stop in Florida for a day before jumping over to Ohio next Tuesday.

I'm scared! We all remember the big crowds Rmoney got on his last bus tour:

compare that to the small crowd Obama got on his recent bus tour in Pittsburgh:

2. Look for Romney's poll numbers to drop in all those states soon

He really seems to do best when he doesn't interact with people. It's when he does these campaign tours and spouts stupid shit like some of his friends own NASCAR teams and tries to be a common fellow eating cheesy grits that he bombs.

Looking forward to some more of those "corporations are people" moments soon.

... he obviously cannot handle unscripted moments.

I agree with your assessment that his numbers will drop in the States he visits.

6. He is taking a big chance. Every time he plans a big trip he loses ground.

His support in PA dropped after his bus tour there. And his overseas tour was a bust. Maybe he should just stay home and run ads.

the crowd looks tentative.

I truly hope that someone heckles Romney.. he's at his BEST when he's making that crazy monkey face and screaming at the crowd that 'corporates are people, my friend!!"

8. The more the people know about Romney, the more they dislike him.

He needs more exposure to insure they know him quite well. All of his primary opponents despise him, but are chumming up to get some government job in case he wins. I guess like any arrogant rich kid, his friend only hang out with him because of his money.
