Toe sucker Dick Morris has seen 'the real polls' and 'trend is' toward Romney

Of course he has nothing to back it up his claim:

Dick Morris says the polls reported by the media are not accurate.

"On Friday, I saw the real numbers. These state-by-state polls, taken by an organization I trust (after forty years of polling) show the real story. The tally is based on more than 600 likely voter interviews in each swing state within the past eight days."

"The trend line is distinctly pro-Romney. Of the thirteen states studied, he improved or Obama slipped in nine states while the reverse happened in only four. To read the media, one would think that Romney had a terrible month. In fact, the exact reverse is true."

Whatever Morris says, always expect the opposite to happen.
The guy has a worse track record than Bill Kristol and the Amazing Criswell combined.

Here are some of his greatest misses:

because Romney is trending down and Obama is trending up. Even Rasmussen has Obama ahead in the general election now.

With all his predictions failing to materialize even once, why is he even on TV? I guess the Faux-nuts are so brain dead that they do not know any better to ditch him in a back country roadside hole. This idiot has not come up with one prediction that has panned out in the last ten years!

in September and October, which includes the three debates.

The only thing he has spelled out in any detail is his tax plan, and that is DOA.

There was also his attempt to burnish his overseas credentials...how'd that go?

Health care? Repeal. Dodd-Frank? Repeal. Replace with what? Who knows.

As bad as this stretch has been for Romney, the fall will be much worse.

From an article about poll reliability:

Why does it matter? Because polls, whether reliable or unreliable, accurate or inaccurate, are reported by the news media and devoured by political insiders. Early polls can influence a race by giving a candidate an artificial boost, encouraging supporters and donors to get behind someone who appears to be winning or at least has a shot. Early in a race, polls can, to some degree, become self-fulfilling prophecies.

Here's how it works in Wisconsin: Rasmussen does a poll, duly reported by WisPolitics, the Associated Press, Journal Sentinel, bloggers, and others. The poll, overloaded with Republicans/conservatives, tells us that in our candidate and issue choices we are more conservative than we really are. That feeds the "Dems can't do this because voters don't want it" narrative of the media, and give chicken-hearted Dem officeholders a reason to derail progressive policy and legislation. That may sound like a conspiracy theory, but it is the way things work.

Here's a hilarious one he made on Hannity last week:

“I guarantee you, Sean, based on what I have heard from third parties or I have spoken to, that William Jefferson Clinton is going to cast his ballot for Mitt Romney,” Morris said. “However, he’s going to open his mouth for Barack Obama because his wife is hostage. They have her under lock and key as Secretary of State, and he is scared that Obama will lose and blame him if he undermines Obama. So he will do everything he asks him to do, and then he will jab him whenever he can.”
