Tim Pawlenty faces tax return scrutiny

Former Minnestota governor Tim Pawlenty, a leading VP contender, was forced to correct his campaign disclosure forms after questionable telecom payments were revealed

has become a place where fewer and fewer sane, credible, down-to-earth, honest people would dare to venture. Not only do you have to be on the rich side, but no one is without some events in their past they'd do differently or that could be misrepresented by a political foe. Also, most have families that get dredged into the unholy mess, as well. And now that indecent amounts of money run the game, even more so.

Herman Cain said, paraphrased ... you don't go to a brothel and expect to find a virgin. OK, he knows that first hand, but IMHO that is the nature of our politics, in a sad nutshell.
