Clinton gushes: has full venue with the help of party establishment and other candidate supporters.

Last edited Sun Sep 20, 2015, 04:05 AM - Edit history (3)

The capacity was a little over 4k, it was reported that 1k were local party people. Then there were Hillary, O'Malley, Bernie, and Chafee supporters.

At the beginning of the speech, Hillary gushes over the crowd, how exciting it is!

On the video provided by ABC News, she asks "What do you think of the crowd, unbelievable, it's amazing" as her voice soars.

The ultimate in smoke and mirrors.

Update from NY Times:

While Mrs. Clinton received an enthusiastic reception, with people beating inflatable noisemaker sticks that her well-financed campaign passed out, the ovation for Mr. Sanders was striking because he is not a party member (he is a democratic socialist) and has far fewer endorsements than Mrs. Clinton from members of the state political apparatus

(And the picture shows her supporters had bullhorns!)

I think her campaign could teach propaganda 101.

I’m running for my first term,” she said, in remarks that ran for about 40 minutes — twice as long as those of other candidates. (After looking at the tape, Bernie spoke around the same, though some candidates spoke a lot less. Clinton started around 1:17, O'Malley at 2:41 (almost and hour and a half later, and Bernie at 3:32 , almost an hour after that. The speeches were certainly spread out over a long time period).

The best part: It was Mr. Sanders, speaking after Mrs. Clinton at the state party’s annual convention here, who received more ecstatic cheers from the crowd, as he denounced big banks, trade deals, tax breaks for the wealthy and “super PACs” like the one supporting Mrs. Clinton’s candidacy.

Because we know how she feels about politicians who draw big crowds and then do some arm waving.

She told us about it 2 days before she marched in a Labor Day Parade, in front of a large crowd... who she waved to for quite a while.

With working her way into the one percent and catering to her big money backers just where does she find the time. What an amazing woman!

not a Hillary rally. But Hillary is a Democrat, and this was the largest attendance in the history of the New Hampshire Democratic Convention. So forgive a couple of Democrats for being enthusiastic about a record gathering of Democrats. You may have noticed that much of her speech was spent praising other Democrats and speaking on the importance of electing other Democrats downticket and locally.

Didn't someone just post that Bernie was going to register as a Democrat soon? I mean why would he do that? Maybe it does matter.

Any unbiased reporter would have an accurate description of the collective enthusiasm of the crowd.

The OP stopped short of calling Hillary "the turd in the punch bowl" so, there's that to cheer about.
