No surprise but Obama is clobbering Mitt in New York 61-34 (Siena Poll)
Romney Continues to Significantly Trail Obama in Blue New York
President Obama has a 59-38 percent favorability rating (unchanged from last month) and Governor Mitt Romney has a negative 35-59 percent favorability rating (35-56 percent last month). Fifty-seven percent of voters are prepared to re-elect Obama and 39 percent would prefer someone else (54-42 percent last month).
Obama has slightly increased his lead over Romney from last month and now has a 27-point lead, 61-34 percent, up from 24 points last month, Greenberg said. Obama leads Romney by 77 points among Democrats, he trails by 57 points among Republicans and leads by 13 points among independent voters.
By a 45-28 percent margin voters agree with the recent United State Supreme Court decision on the constitutionality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act often referred to as Obamacare. In light of the decision, 53 percent of voters want to see the law fully implemented and 37 percent want to see it repealed, with three-quarters of Democrats favoring implementation and three-quarters of Republicans supporting repeal, according to a new Siena College Research Institute poll of registered voters released today. Only one in five voters thinks the law will increase health care access and only one in eight thinks it will reduce their costs.
