The RW and TW conspired long ago to keep the stream of cheap labor flowing.

TW do this under the cover story that it's a human rights issue, but then never go after employers the way they should to make sure humane working conditions are met.

I call bullshit on them all.

Go Bernie!

not so easy to be here legally so they don't have to pay minimum wage. Both groups are responsible for them coming here. Nafta devastated the agriculture sector in Mexico.

I am not certain what that would look like? Close up the border patrol? Shut down the border entry stations? Who is advocating for a "completely" open border? And what is it?

that the border issue has been the way it is because corporations want the cheap exploitable labor.

We should be in favor of legal, regulated immigration, with quotas or criteria of some sort. As far as I know that's how other nations do it, and it's still the law here, but the lawless corporations who run our government have been "insourcing" on the sly.

If we want more immigrants, we should raise the quota, or make official immigration easier. Instead, we have millions of undocumented people living here, in some weird legal limbo where they can't make any trouble (such as protest their wages or lack of rights and benefits) without fear of discovery and deportation.

If the corporations had their way, there would be a small ownership class, and the rest of us would lack full status as citizens, we would be guest workers who could be removed at their whims.

Sanders is right. We need to provide a path to citizenship for those here but also control immigration.
