What does the world look like if, God forbid, Romney wins?

The Supreme Court, that's going to be really ugly.

Tax cuts for the rich? Really?

More austerity? A full blown depression? War with Iran?

I'm having trouble visualizing this world.

There will be massive tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. Massive de-regulation. A full blown invasion and war in Iran, and deepening economic misery.

In the end, America will be at a major cross road, either sweep in a super-majority of progressives legislatures or officially become a third world nation.

Ryan's budget pretty much destroys the federal social safety net while blowing up the debt.

Yes.

I am a veteran here at DU and I have always said that my opposition to anti-Democratic/anti-Obama rhetoric is not because I drank the Kool-Aid, or because I think anyone is perfect. I oppose this rhetoric because it plays right into the GOP/"conservative" voter suppression play book.

There is a huge difference between Barack Obama and Willard. There is a huge difference between Democrats (even Blue Dogs) and Republicans.

As long as the Democrats control at least part of the legislative branch, we'll probably just have more gridlock.

Certainly no chance of a progressive agenda, of course, but probably not a significantly conservative one either.
