Gen. Walker didn't fly down to Buenos Aires to meet with occult fascists and plan an autonomous cocaine-running network of death squads from Foggy Bottom down to Ushuaia

anyone who opines that bernie is a socialist has to give me a comprehensible definition of classic socialism and democratic socialism, and be able to give me examples of countries that have had each of those systems.
if they cant do that, the conversation is o-o-o-ovah.

7. Bernie describes himself as a Socialist. A Democratic Socialist.

Which certainly has meaning, but meaning that will be lost on your average mouth breathing voter.

I don't know who will win the primary, Sanders has made up some ground but still has an uphill battle. If the primary were decided on Iowa and New Hampshire alone, he would be looking pretty good. If one is honest, he still has a ways to go nationally.

If he does get the nomination, he will be swarmed with a flood of attacks that he has not faced, being an Independent, in a deep blue state. Amongst those attacks will likely be calling him a Socialist, with doomsday music and grainy black & white video of Soviet era parades.

He calls himself a Democratic Socialist, he will need to find a way not to let himself be defined by the GOP.

who can't post anything about Bernie without invariably also mentioning "he's a socialist." (Just like there are some who can't make a Hillary comment without the word "email" in it.)

In over ten years, I've never put anyone on "ignore," but I admit my patience has been sorely tested at times.

I hope the "Socialist" one plays long enough over the next few months so that people have to actually think about this stuff.

Libraries, roads, bridges, power lines, police, fire, it all runs on socialism for the Commons, the public good.

The plutocrats want to associate it with evil because they are greedy and want to avoid taxes; even though they drive or are driven on public roads/bridges and access police/fire departments as needed.

We need a more conscientious and educated public to thwart the plutocracy.

they grew up during the 50s - I don't know if the propaganda was as thick in the UK as it was in the US but seeing that they traveled a bit with their music (and made a whole lot of money off it) I'm not exactly surprised by their lyrics.

one who has let themselves believe in the notion that socialism and capitalism are somehow compatible. They are not. I think that Social Democrat describes Sanders perfectly. Sanders is no socialist.

Democratic Socialism means having a democratically elected government spend money on infrastructure and social services that benefit society.
