Hillary Heaped Praise On Martin O’Malley In 2010 Email.

Martin O’Malley got a nice little plug from Hillary Clinton. The only problem is that it came five years ago when the Democratic presidential candidates were governor of Maryland and secretary of state, respectively.

In an April 25, 2010 email to Maryland U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski, Clinton inquired about “our friend, Martin.”

“I know he has a rematch when he should be reelected by acclamation for steering the ship of state so well,” Clinton wrote of O’Mally.

They need a phony progressive to fill out the Clinton ticket.

He went against big agriculture in MD to enact phosphorous rules for the Bay and has always supported Unions. He raised taxes on the rich and has the best plan of any candidate to rein in Wall Street.

Back up your statements or stop making up stuff.

Among other things, he

Martin O'Malley:

1. Ended death penalty in Maryland
2. Prevented fracking in Maryland and put regulations in the way to prevent next GOP Gov Hogan fom easily allowing fracking.
3. Provided health insurance for 380,000
4. Reduced infant mortality to an all time low.
5. Provided meals to thousands of hungry children and moved toward a goal for eradicating childhood hunger.
6. Enacted a $10.10 living wage and a $11. minimum wage for State workers.
7. Supporter the Dream Act
8. Cut income taxes for 86% of Marylanders (raised taxes on the rich).
9. Reformed Maryland’s tax code to make it more progressive.
10. Enacted some of the nation’s most comprehensive reforms to protect homeowners from foreclosure.

In our real world, at times that will mean compromising with corporations to make progress.

I'm okay with that, as long as some real progress is made. I think he did overall a good job in Baltimore and Maryland and showed that he can effectively get things done. I would put him ahead of both Bernie and Hillary in the "getting things done" department, and most of what he is getting done is progressive ... if not as "progressive" as some immediate-gratification folks would like.

I have been pretty busy. We finally got some relief from all the smoke from the fires, so I was working on cleaning up some of the ash that has covered everything for the last month. Did I mess something?

The relief may be short lived. They are predicting more smoke for the next couple of days, and the fires are still burning, but they are not as bad as they were a couple of weeks ago. It will take a lot of rain, or snow, to put them out. Sadly the long ranging winter forecast for the Pacific Northwest says this winter will be dry and warmer than normal. The last two years have seen little snow fall in the area.
