13 Days until the Olympics start

Is this part of the reason we are seeing such a strong push from Team Obama?

Try to hit him hard for a few weeks until the distraction begins and The President can then go positive for a while presenting himself as our leader while Rmoney presents himself as the owner of a horse. Oh, and someone who "saved" the Winter Olympics a long time ago.

This happens every Presidential election year. Doesn't it help the incumbent?

look at how many in the last 70 years that only had one term.
3
Johnson didn't run for his second and Carter and Bushthe1st lost.
That's it.
Obama is in like Flynn because Mittens is not a Reagan or Clinton, great communicators who could break a cycle.
Nowhere near close.

5. Well it's seems like pretty much there is a lull in the campaign every year during the Olympics

I think we'll see more ads on both sides during the games though. It will be interesting to see if Romney announces his VP before or after the games. I doubt he'd do it during the games especially since both of them will be in London for at least part of the Olympics. If he does it before it's going to have to be pretty soon.

You honestly don't know?

Most of us know the long range weather predictions for this location as well as seeing reports on the security arrangements.

Are we the tax payers picking up the tab when Romney goes to the Olympics?
I'm sick to think we will have to pay for Secret Service protection so he can watch his horse compete. Has a nominee ever gone overseas before?

I know it sucks but out of respect for the process we need the candidates protected, no matter who they are.
