Can Ky. Democrats keep the governorship this fall?

Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway is running for governor on the Democratic ticket, facing Republican tea party candidate Matt Bevin, who lost to Sen. Mitch McConnell in the May 2014 Senate primary. Some say that the race is Lean R, due to Kentucky ' s rightward shift, but it can be won if Conway runs on Gov. Steven L. Beshear' s record. Can Kentucky stay blue this November?

1. This is one race where gerrymandering cannot help or hinder either party

So the best way to win is to vote. Get friends, family, coworker, neighbors to the voting booths. Off year election. Come on Democratic voters you can do it!

California and New York can't say the same even in the last 30 years or less.

Jack might not be a cinch but I'd say he is more likely than not to win and is the favorite.

There are several polls and only one had Bevin ahead and I'm sure it was within the margin of error with a 2 point lead which appears to be an outlier as another shows Jack up 11 and another 8.

If I was taking bets the line today would be at about +5.5 or 6 for Conway with a chance to approach double digits.

That isn't a call for complacency by any means but a statement that victory is not only achievable but probable if we get the vote out.

McConnell will barely endorse him. That being said, there's a strong chance he's our next Governor. It depends on if the torrent of anti-Conway ads that the Republicans put out there about Obamacare, gay marriage, etc. convince enough low-info voters to pull the Republican lever.
