Drudge Report and Matt Rhoades

From wikipedia

Matt Rhoades is an American political consultant and strategist for the Republican National Committee. In the 2004 presidential election, Rhoades was director of opposition research for the campaign to re-elect President George W. Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney. In the 2008 presidential bid of Mitt Romney, Rhoades was director of communications. Rhoades is cited as a pioneer in using less conventional outlets such as the Drudge Report, to influence the public image about candidates who oppose his clients.[1] He is the manager of Mitt Romney's 2012 campaign for the presidency.

What came out today related to Romney campaign that was more positive and through the Drudge Report? VP considerations.

And I guess they think floating Condi Rice as a contender will go over big with the gop base, right?

GOP Strategists: "Condi will give the ticket foreign policy strength."

This is true, since romney has no clue with respect to foreign policy, but ...

gop base: "No way ... She is Black and because she is a she."

and by "base" I mean funders, not voters. Even with that, I struggle to remember what Condi accomplished as SoS. It was a very forgettable era as far as diplomacy goes. Nice wars, sure, but otherwise .
