2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumRomney is getting pummeled this news cycle. Won't he have to do something to get
back in the limelight? He can't inspire anyone with his words, so what else does he have? Attack ads? Think he'll push up the VP selection from 2 weeks before the convention to late July? Will his current troubles cause him to make a less boring pick than he would otherwise? What does everyone think?

a rapidly deteriorating image, and in need of a quick "game change."
Watch closely, this is the stuff they'll be writing the TV movie scripts about in a year or two.

In short, he needs to change the subject to her sexiness. Came within a whisker of working for McGrampy. Palin is shop worn, but maybe one of those reader honeys on Faux Newz will do it.

(308 posts)As I've said before, Rubio is unlikely to be chosen:
1. He is too young & inexperienced (only been in the Senate for 1.5 years).
2. Would have trouble debating Joe Biden.
3. Has been caught lying by the Florida press about when his parents arrived from Cuba.
4. Would not help Romney much with the Latino vote (most Latinos won't vote for a conservative Cuban from Florida).
5. Might not even help him carry Florida.
6. Would overshadow Mitt Romney.
7. Rubio used to be a Mormon (not a crime, but would look to some as if the Mormons are 'taking over'.)
