Undercover Republican Goes Hillary-Hunting in Clinton Library

Jackie Kucinich

Day after sweltering Arkansas day, an anonymous RNC staffer toils inside the Clinton Library, opening file after file—in search of the detail from the past that’ll sink the frontrunner.

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — He arrives at the large glass building each day at 9 a.m. on the dot, walks past two giant animatronic dinosaurs, and goes through security.
For the rest of the day, he’s behind enemy lines.

In some ways the dinosaurs—part of a temporary exhibit at the William J. Clinton Presidential Library—are fitting, since he spends his day looking into the past.

Hillary Clinton’s past, to be exact.

He is a staffer for the Republican National Committee—the only one dispatched to Arkansas to wade through the Clinton archives. He spends his days looking for contradictions, embarrassments, and outright hypocrisy nestled within the hundreds of boxes stored there.

It’s all part of an unprecedented research operation undertaken by the RNC to stop Clinton in her tracks.

So all the wasted time for the Republicans - and have them scrambling to find dirt that is already out there, just rehashed and old dirt, no new skeletons for Bernie.

They have to either try to discredit the opposition, poision the public against them, get their judges and elected officials to throw the game if it's close, disenfranchise voters, gerrymander districts or some other way of getting either peoples votes or getting them NOT to vote.

Then if it's somebody like Clinton if they are elected they have to keep the witchunt going or if it's somebody who is harder to smear like Obama they have to demean them and block them legislatively.

Democrats have not risen to this level of destruction of the other party yet. Mostly running on issues still. It has been semi successful for the GOP but I'm not sure at what cost to the country.

I can honestly say I think that there may come a time when we have a Bush vs Gore type election, but where the Democrat is in the winning seat and they will pull a Cliven Bundy and have armed supporters try to shut down a recount or otherwise change the election by force.

It's a really dangerous game they are playing for the country IMO. Where you don't accept the other party in power as the legitimate result of democracy and instead feel they should be removed.

Talk radio and the conservative viral emails and Fox News all play a part, but I sort of do feel that it's sort of the culmination of the "Southern Strategy" started so long ago. They have fully empowered a hateful element in the South that has now even spread to non confederate states that could eventually really hurt our democracy and civil society.
