That is fantastic! leftofcool Aug 2015 #1
To be clear. That's 310 points on a weighted scale. That is not the # of endorsements. think Aug 2015 #2
Thanks for pointing that out. Number23 Aug 2015 #8
YW. I initially thought Hillary had 310 endorsements so it is a bit confusing. think Aug 2015 #9

And state representatives and senators don't get any points.

So basically FiveThirtyEight.com has chosen to portrait the statistical data in this fashion which can be inferred (As the OP has chosen to do) in a way which skews the perception of what is actually being presented.

Of course, not all endorsements are equally valuable. We use a simple weighting system:

10 points for governors,
5 points for U.S. senators
1 point for U.S. representatives
(there are roughly five times as many representatives as senators and 10 times as many representatives as governors).

you like to make it fit your meme but understand that it's not a complete representation of governmental endorsements statistically.

I'd say the Sanders campaign is big on memes.....but not on endorsements.

I kind of like having a candidate who doesn't tell me that he'll give me his views AFTER he wins the election.

Just saying that those particular facts are not anything to switch support from one candidate to another over.
For those who are basing support on issues, mind you, not for those who base support on other things, like money amassed, and endorsements. Of course, I think everybody knows that, and this stuff is really just pointless neener-neener stuff at best. IMO, of course.

why should I want a candidate with endorsements from the establishment? To me that shows they support the status quo, and I'm sick to death of the status quo.

the endorsements over on Grandpa's Old Party is somewhat interesting. Jebush is turning in a performance that is historically poor.

1988 - Gephardt lead in endorsements, but Dukakis won the nomination
2004 - Gephardt and Dean lead in endorsements, but Kerry won the nomination
2008 - Clinton lead in endorsements, but Obama won the nomination

Guess we'll just have to see who wins this one
