Does anyone believe that we should just vote for the candidate with the most money?

That seems to be a popular argument with some and I don't buy it. We need to vote for the candidate who best expresses our views and can successfully win votes.

If the only argument for voting for a candidate is that they have more wealthy backers, then there is no reason not to pull the lever for Jeb. If we want a candidate with a real shot of retaining the White House, let's look at the candidate who can pull in votes with a fraction of the money.

Who here is making that argument?

There is a difference between recognizing that money is important - vitally important, in this day and age - to running a political campaign and voting for the candidate who has the most money.

"If the only argument for voting for a candidate is that they have more wealthy backers ..."

Again, who said that? I'm guessing nobody - ever.
