HRC's "email problem" is a big fat nothing that is being pushed as being something.

Last edited Sun Aug 23, 2015, 04:03 PM - Edit history (1)

This "email scandal" is a classic Rove attack in which you take an opponent's strength and use it against them
examples:

* John Kerry was awarded the bronze star, the silver star, three purple hearts, and
did not lose one man in some of the most dangerous duty in Vietnam so he was attacked
(swiftboated) about his service in Vietnam.

* Hillary was a good Sec. of State and in doing her job she sent and received lots of
emails and tweets so "they" are now attacking her for doing her work as Sec. of state.

BTW before I could change the channel Chuck Todd was pushing the Hillary email scandal meme big time and
the question at the bottom of the screen asking, "Will the email scandal ruin Hiilary?" rough quote

Apparently wanting a police state will not ruin Trump but a big fat nothing email server might ruin Clinton? How does that work?

This fucked up logic masking the obvious witch hunt, round 2, has to have been noticed by even the most trusting of media watching folks.

You're part of the problem, not the solution.

She is not being swiftboated: It is her reckless behavior at State that caused her troubles.

Example of actual swiftboating: Posting "So, you marched with Martin Luther King. What do you want, a cookie?" The mocking of Sanders' lifelong work of fighting for civil rights and liberties, thereby attacking a strength, is swiftboating.

went to Iraq and went missing too?

We are constantly lectured about how Big Money will win this campaign, yet Big Money can't end this nagging problem that is hounding her and will forever?

I guess having all that money is really not the solution?

Clinton's primary defense, reiterated on Tuesday, has been that none of the government emails she possessed had been marked or identified as “classified.” But as Al Jazeera’s story points out, a violation of the relevant criminal code statute (18 USC Section 1924) does not require that material be marked or stamped as “classified.” In other words, Clinton's public defense may help her politically, but it wouldn’t necessarily suffice in the event of a criminal case. (bold mine)

Is it just me, or has the government, in its current "classify everything that moves and sort it out later" frenzy, gone absolutely barking mad?

There is certainly far too much information that is considered classified, whether marked as such or not, out of an abundance of caution. I believe the point of contention centers around whether the Secretary of State should know better and know the difference. Particularly if she is communicating off the State Department server.

It's not a big fat nothing, as the OP contends. The FBI doesn't really have time for those.

That's what Judge Emmet Sullivan, a Bill Clinton appointee, had to say about her.
