Longtime Clinton confidante James Carville says Vice President Joe Biden has a track record of losing.
Hes done it twice, and he hasnt had the best track record doing it, James Carville said Sunday of Bidens previous presidential runs, speaking on John Catsimatidis AM 970 radio show.

(19,460 posts)And he is not wrong on this. Joe does not have a good track record. That doesn't mean Dems don't want him in the race though.

(19,460 posts)I don't see your statement as an attack. I hope Joe Biden runs the good race. He is my second choice and will poll right up with Hillary. Will be a great race if he gets in.

Look, you assholes. I've spent a lot of time and money and called in a lot of favors to get this far again. If you think you're going to screw me over by floating this 'Biden' crap, I suggest you rethink that strategy. Remember, Bill and I are on first-name terms with the people who own your asses.
I look forward to our next meeting, and hope you have a wonderful day.

(13,616 posts)Really, I love how you ran over the fact he Won with Obama, but somehow I think Obama's success does not matter, considering you slammed him all the way.
The only silver lining of Joe running is that we will see Hillary's people slam Obama, which will lead to a rather embarrassing confrontation with BLM

(2,510 posts)and ought to be horse-whipped for turning traitor on Kerry in the 2004 election. After doing what he did, he can just keep his damned mouth off any future elections. Hell, he probably did it because he didn't want a Democratic incumbent in office in 2008--- for the sake of YOU KNOW WHO...
Did Carville Tip Bush Off to Kerry Strategy (Woodward)
By M.J. Rosenberg | bio
I just came across a troubling incident that Bob Woodward reports in his new book. Very troubling.
On page 344, Woodward describes the doings at the White House in the early morning hours of Wednesday, the day after the '04 election.
Apparently, Kerry had decided not to concede. There were 250,000 outstanding ballots in Ohio.
So Kerry decides to fight. In fact, he considers going to Ohio to camp out with his voters until there is a recount. This is the last thing the White House needs, especially after Florida 2000.
So what happened?
James Carville gets on the phone with his wife, Mary Matalin, who is at the White House with Bush.
"Carville told her he had some inside news. The Kerry campaign was going to challenge the provisional ballots in Ohio -- perhaps up to 250,000 of them. 'I don't agree with it, Carville said. I'm just telling you that's what they're talking about.'
"Matalin went to Cheney to report...You better tell the President Cheney told her."
Matalin does, advising Bush that "somebody in authority needed to get in touch with J. Kenneth Blackwell, the Republican Secretary of State in Ohio who would be in charge of any challenge to the provisional votes." An SOS goes out to Blackwell.
The rest is history.
Does something about this story stink to high heaven!
