(21,210 posts)my son told me yesterday that he read a good article about how the time was right for Sanders to run for millennials as they are open to ideas he believes in and are 'basically tired' of the two party system. They are ready for a change!
My daughter, who just turned thirty and is a new internal medicine doctor, said she identifies most with Sanders. These kids are not tied to any letter of the alphabet, be it "R" or a "D"
That is a great thing, they are looking at issues.
The times they are a changing ... we can only hope.

(5,614 posts)Okay, the Congress DOES have the lowest approval rating of any Congress ever BUT each individual Congress Critter is an outstanding paragon of virtue, hardly to be considered little more than a whore.
I'd be unhappier if they DID flock to Bernie. Their endorsement is meaningless.
DesertFlower

(19,460 posts)Most of the time, the major endorsements like Senators, Reps and Governors usually go out in the press, others less important are written information/letters/etc... going to the candidate' office or staff to print out. At least that is how I understand it.

(13,877 posts)Ben and Jerry's was a B Corp...a form of a corporate organization...with higher ethics, to be sure. And they were/are capitalists. So they sold and Made a Profit That's both capitalism and corporatism.
George II
(67,782 posts)....out to the British/Dutch conglomerate Unilever and now the profits are going off-shore.

(135,425 posts)Super-delegates each have a vote towards the nomination.
Candidates without any super-delegates are likely to encounter difficulty at the convention. No shooting the messenger.

(9,070 posts)It's the first time I've seen it, but surely after all his years in Congress Bernie should have some endorsements from people he works with as colleagues?
Wow, that's an eye-opener.
Even though I disagree with some of Bernie's positions, and I knew he had a relatively low rating in government, I now realize other's must think he doesn't "play nice".
