Vice President Joe Biden will speak this afternoon at the National Council of La Raza on Mitt Romney’s immigration policy and taxes. According to the pre-released remarks, Biden plans to deliver the following zinger: “Mitt Romney wants you to show your papers, but he won’t show us his.” Romney supports Arizona’s immigration law, now mostly invalidated by the Supreme Court save for the “show me your papers” provision, which requires police to check the immigration status of anyone who looks “reasonably suspicious.” The GOP presidential candidate has also come under fire for refusing to release more of his tax returns.

Barring some cigar incident with Obama, I'm feeling pretty confident.

I agree that this was a great line, and I'm sure it's going to get reused and should appear in ads (per my favorite thread with the URL at the bottom), but...

I still think that President Obama should pick a younger V-P as the future of the Democratic Party. Among Dubya's MANY miserable failures and horrible mistakes, the big dick Cheney was quite possibly the #1 failure, and Dubya (luckily for America) hurt the neo-GOP by keeping Cheney on the ticket in 2004.

My theory is that Obama has decided to do it as a surprise, so they aren't going to hint about it at all. After Romney locks himself into a V-P, then Obama will pick someone who is both a good counter to Romney's pick and a good candidate for 2016.

I actually think Biden has the potential to be a GREAT Secretary of State in Obama's second term--but it also requires that Obama CRUSH the neo-GOP Congress. As it stands now, Biden could get the greatest treaties in the universe, and the Senate would refuse to ratify them.

The threat about ads against Rmoney (prounounced "R-money" as in "Romney are money"?):
