(9,610 posts)If I were an establishment type, I would probably like him a lot as he does say many things I agree with.
In my opinion, the establishment is corrupt to the core, capitalism is a great evil that has been used to trample upon the citizens of the world. We need to change how we do the things that we do. Nice, friendly capitalists are still capitalists and the system they support will continue to kill, impoverish, and harm the people of this planet for the benefit of the establishment oligarchs and their backers.

(16,916 posts)in any other year he'd be our nominee. I hope there's a major role for him in the 2016 campaign.

(885 posts)Though I still say if Bernie wins the nomination he needs to find someone with even more "radical" viewpoint than his to be Veep. That way no one in their right mind would consider bumping him off.

(8,879 posts)Sanders/O'Malley would be a fantastic ticket. Even flipped it would make me happy.

(135,425 posts)Second--great looking kids! (And there are more at home).
Third--is he married? Divorced? The "Where's the missus?" question comes up. And because I'm not lazy, I did the Google and answered my own question:
Catherine "Katie" Curran O'Malley is a Baltimore City District Court judge and wife of Martin O'Malley, the former Governor of Maryland and Mayor of Baltimore. Wikipedia
Born: August 18, 1962 (age 52)
Spouse: Martin O'Malley (m. 1990)
Parents: J. Joseph Curran, Jr.
Marriage location: Baltimore, MD
Children: Jack O'Malley, William O'Malley, Grace O'Malley, Tara O'Malley
Education: Towson University, University of Baltimore School of Law, University of Baltimore
Now that's a resume! Well, she wouldn't be a cookie-baking, stand by your man, type either--I'm guessing she had to work, and couldn't get away...? Or maybe she was campaigning elsewhere...?

(135,425 posts)Or have his kids so do. Nice looking family--I am guessing this was a few years back, as the lads look very young here and the young fellow in the video/pictures looks older:
