The idea that a grown politician with a whole lifetime/career can be manipulated into doing the bidding of some other politician is total nonsense. Do you think they had a big super-secret "Establishment only" meeting to plan it out? I'd be embarrassed to post such bollocks.

that's what the Repugs will be saying about this. I was a Boy Scout and I like to Be Prepared in all instances. Hillary, Joe and the Dems all need to be on the same page if Joe enters the race.

the race. Why would another guy running change the dynamic? Each of the 5 campaigns has a strategy which they follow. They spend their time trying to get their message out and raise funds. A natural disaster, a foreign conflict, or other major event can change the game at any time. They don't waste time playing "what if."

I assume that one thing that held him back is that it was extremely unlikely that anyone could beat HRC. So, even if it could be something said by Republicans, it might have a basis in fact.

I have not seen a poll where HRC is less than 50 percent for the primary. There have been polls including Biden, but none that explicitly say if he entered the race.

What if HRC is doing well and Joe Biden enters the race,

and then,

Sanders is doing well until Elizabeth Warren enters the race,

and then,

O'Malley is doing well until Mark Warner enters the race,

and then,

Jim Webb is doing well until Wes Clarke enters the race,

and then,

Lincoln Chafee is doing well until a stack of corrugated cardboard enters the race?

He won't get the race unless he, not "establishment dems", decides he can win.

Although I will vote for her and her brand of establishment Democrat in time I am tired of the Clintons and their games and cozy with the Bushes. I wondered about Biden and the timing with the ongoing email questions. It is usually these types of things that sink politicians. Republicans seem to eager.

that said, the more candidates in the ring, the more likely we'll have a repeat of 2008. Hillary was supposed to sweep the early states and then go on to victory. Splitting the vote three ways with Obama and Edwards meant people in the later states had time and opportunity to look at Obama, and the rest is history.
