RedState calls Clinton a homely woman who slept her way into power, ending their nonexistent feminist moment
Donald Trump and his supporters have spent the better part of the past week attacking Fox anchor Megyn Kelly for daring to ask Donald Trump about some of the objectively awful things hes said to and about women over the years. In response to Trumps claim that the only reason Kelly would ask such offensive questions is that she had blood coming out of her
wherever, RedState editor Erick Erickson disinvited Donald Trump from an event in Atlanta, saying that he wouldnt stand for that kind of sexism.
Except, of course, he totally has and totally is standing for that kind of sexism.
Earlier today, RedState contributor streiff led off a post on the sites front page with the following:
If Hillary Clinton possesses any unique selling propostion (sic) beyond proving even a homely woman can sleep her way into power, it is her tenure as Barack Obamas secretary of state. That seems to be a slender enough reed when polls show the electorate could give a flying rats patootie about experience and favor a change agent above all.
At least they had the puritanical sensibility to say patootie while being a sexist jackass:

(99,710 posts)I have seen the suggestion here that Hillary Clinton is where she is because she is Mrs. Clinton. The only difference is the tenor and infelicitousness of the Red State blogger's comments.
The tut tutting is amusing though, like so much hypocrisy is.

(12,655 posts)there is nothing these gutless, hypocritical cretins won't say..about anyone. they don't have the gray matter to debte the issues, so they resort to playground style personal insults. pathetic.
ya know, i could say something about the physicality of pretty much any of their candidates, but i won't.

(11,366 posts)In fact, I saw a picture of her from her days as First Lady the other day and had forgotten how striking she was.
Yes, she's older (so am I and I'm not nearly as striking, now, either. ), but "homely?" No.

(5,815 posts)I doubt anyone serious can make the argument she wasn't just as instrumental in building Bill's career as she was her own. I don't consider being an equal and accomplished member in a political partnership to be "sleeping her way to the top." She has worked her butt off to get where she is, and no one can deny that.
