Our friend just walked in: "Obamacare" is saving his life

Lost his job, and has pre-existing muscular dystrophy.

No WAY would he be covered conventionally.

Needless to say, he was really, really nervous about the Supreme Court decision - it could have been life-changing.

1. This is the sort of situation we need to broadcast, far and wide, because there are many

The more of them we can document and get into the consciousness of the public, the better, to counter all of the total nonsense the wingnuts are spewing.

Most of us are one lost job and one medical condition away from benefitting from this legislation. Is it exactly what this country needs? No. Is it a good first step? Hell yes.

Unfortunately, he's preaching to the choir -- I don't think he even KNOWS any Republicans (he's involved in our city's arts community)

your friend that is being saved by Obamacare. That is what the administration should be doing. Just like the Bain ads he needs to bring in the Healthcare ads that show how it is working.

otherwise they assume I'm making stuff up, because everyone they know gets coverage from their good jobs (or their spouse's good job). The idea of not having someone else (their employer) pay for most of their insurance is a foreign concept.

8. The Republican answer to everything .........

The Republican answer to everything is I did it all myself. Why do you expect to freeload off of the government? We shouldn't have to pay for your healthcare or buy your child an education. That is their dumbscull reason for everything they do.

It must be frozen into their brains or something! They can't see people out there do need help! It's all about (me). The Uglicans are like small children and the world belongs to them. They don't think any of the laws apply to taking care of others. Yet, they say they are Christian?

Our idiot governor in PA has cut programs to get more people insured.

Our friend is 48 and walks with a cane. If his insurance company could dump him, they would. .

He seemed calmer then in recent visits, knowing that at very least, he can continue the policy he has had all along.
