Ahead of L.A. visit, Sanders captures support of National Nurses United

http://www.latimes.com/nation/politics/la-na-bernie-sanders-los-angeles-20150810-story.html

"...National Nurses United praised Sanders for his “uncompromised activism” in its endorsement at an Oakland gathering, ahead of his trip to Los Angeles where he’s set to hold a nighttime rally at Memorial Sports Arena.

...“We believe the next president should represent the people from all steps in life,” RoseAnn DeMoro, the union’s executive director, said in an interview. “He’s real. He’s authentic. That’s why we’re supporting him.”

...The Los Angeles rally comes on the heels of a weekend swing through Seattle and Portland, Ore., where record crowds gathered inside sports arenas. In recent months he’s amassed the largest crowds of any candidate this election cycle -- 10,000 in Madison, 12,000 in Seattle on Saturday and a record 28,000 in Portland Sunday, according to the campaign..."

Here is the thread in LBN about the endorsement.

and professional association of registered nurses in U.S. history.

NNU was founded in 2009 unifying three of the most active, progressive organizations in the U.S.—and the major voices of unionized nurses—in the California Nurses Association/National Nurses Organizing Committee, United American Nurses, and Massachusetts Nurses Association.

also. His campaign is surging. Just a few months ago hardly anyone knew who he was. His record and his Progressive message, even in Red States, SHOWS how wrong the pundits and political hacks have been about where this country is on the issues.
