GOP House Rep To Megyn Kelly: We Could Have Eric Holder Arrested
Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) appeared on Fox News Channels America Live with Megyn Kelly on Friday where he discussed the ongoing House Republican efforts to investigate Attorney General Eric Holders involvement into the Fast and Furious gun walking scandal. There he revealed that the House GOP could move to have Holder arrested following a House vote on Thursday that found him in contempt of Congress.

Kelly says that she is aware of another option that the Sargent at Arms of the House can be instructed to arrest Holder. Are you going to do that, asked Kelly.
That would be fairly dramatic, but yes, said Chaffetz. Three options: going through the U.S. attorney, going into civil court or have the Sargent at Arms take control of the situation which I think some people are going to say we ought to do but were going to exhaust the other ones first.
Really, replied Kelly.
I find it hard and dramatic to do, but we want to get to the bottom of this, said Chaffetz. Were serious about this.

(1,055 posts)That was the threat if the last resort of a contempt charge was used against Rove, IIRC? In fact, the same idiots pushing to arrest Holder were the ones threatening that shit way back in the Bush Admin.
It's like the GOP has collectively decided that January 20, 2001 - January 20, 2009 simply didn't happen!

(35,701 posts)offices. He can't, for example, go over to the Senate and arrest a Senator. So how in the heck can he go to Executive branch offices and arrest Holder. Holder can refuse to testify unless he is assured of not being arrested.

(8,419 posts)Doesn't matter, but he should grab a cigarette, a cup of coffee, or a bottle of water and go stand outside this assholes office a week from Tuesday. (When the hard working House members will be back.) Invite the media, and hold a press conference. Clearly explaining that the entire gun walking issue is story pushed by a worldwide disgraced news organization, via a whistle blowing employee who is the actual incompetent one, and pushed through the House by a hyper-partisan Chairman.
He should then go on to explain that the root cause of the guns flowing through the border are due to the NRA pushed policies that allow Arizonians to buy unlimited weapons and transfer them immediately to gun runners.
And if Jason Douche Chaffetz or one of the others tries to bring in the Sargent at Arms, then all of the supporters strolling the basement halls can surround Holder and escort him out.
