"Obamacare" will now become more popular...

The Repubs., Faux, etc., have been drilling into people's heads that this law was unconstitutional, that Obama over-reached, and more. Now that it's been validated and ruled Constitutional by the SCOTUS, it WILL become more popular. Watch.

The Dems. will be much more willing to tout the law, tell people what's in it, how it will HELP them, and things will get better.

1. Not only constitutional but as a tax

Taxes collected is how the Canadian health care system works. We are on step closer. I opposed the mandate, but the tax has really shifted my thinking.

I think the Dems. KNEW it was a "tax" but didn't want to CALL it that to take away a Repub. talking point. Remember-a "mandate" started as a REPUB. idea.

10. A year or so ago I was talking to a casual friend

She was a high school drop out, had one child, and did not have health insurance from her part time job. (in other words, someone who would only benefit from the affordable care act)

She went into a rant telling me how government had no place in health insurance. She told me she would never have anything to do with government provided health insurance. I asked her what she would do if her 6 year old child had a fatal illness. Would she let her die? She told me "that's not problem - I would get her on medicaid". (I swear, this is a true story. I was in disbelief at the time.)

Never underestimate the stupidity of the average person. They will sit there and enjoy the benefits of a democratic policy, yet condemn us for its existence.

there's just no reason why anyone should be forced to hold such contradictory concepts
