Take solace

in the knowledge that DU is not the real world and you're just fine. Despite the manipulative blather, the election doesn't hinge on you conforming your beliefs, modifying your behavior, or curbing your tongue. Nothing said in here will have a significant impact in reality. Be who you are, vote for who you want, and let everyone else do the same. Everything becomes crystal clear the moment you step out of the shitstream.

I posted an OP in the Bernie group just now - I don't think I am supposed to link to my own OP. I don't know if it is worth cross-posting in GDP.

We like to tell ourselves we're important because we like to tell ourselves we're important. Kind of like the flea on the elephants head who thinks he's driving.

It turns out that what we are seeing here is not unique to DU but a broader phenomenon.

We're not seeing the same thing on DU. Most every transgression making up your "phenomenon" has been seen on both sides. While it's convenient to portray Bernie supporters as a monolithic, homogeneous blob of wrongness, it's simply not true. There's tons of allusion to it, but little evidence other than the claims and projections of internet HRC supporters who desire it to be true.
