An Open Letter To Bernie and Hillary Supporters

What happens in the primaries is important and it matters. But it is just the opening chapter of the book. It's not not the book itself. Don't make the mistake of thinking it is. Everything you do today and tomorrow and the day after is all aimed at one date: JANUARY 20TH, 2017. Your goal is to make sure your candidate is standing there, hand in the air, taking the oath of office. In the end that is all that matters. If you don't get to that point then none of your candidate's great policies and ideas stand a chance of being enacted.

And here is the catch: To get to January 20th, 2017, you and your chosen candidate need every single voter for your primary opponent you can get. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

Bernie Sanders cannot become President without Hillary Clinton voters. It is simply impossible. If you think he can win over enough non voters to render Hillary Clinton voters unnecessary, I want you to share what you are smoking. It's fantasy. It will not work.

Hillary Clinton cannot become President without the Bernie Sanders supporters. I think she has a better path forward than Bernie does without his supporters, but I think it will fall short. She will need his grassroots energy transferred to her campaign.

Guys, we NEED each other. In order for either to succeed, they must have the others supporters in the general. Disrespecting each other is short sighted and pointless.

Some people are going to have to move over to a side.

I prefer the Bernie side. and I think if Bernie attracts enough undecided voters then he'll succeed just fine.

that's how Obama beat Hillary after all. so really in the end... no Bernie or Hillary doesn't need the opposing sides votes.

pure and simple. Something sorely missing in both camps, one especially. Thank you. I'm at the point, I'm saying to hell with all of them until we choose our nominee. I am sick of the 'privileged' supporter in the one camp blindly following a script that is alienating and marginalizing potential support and votes and the other camp has to realize just how glaringly obvious their candidates preferences are when it comes to post election interests and concerns.

When President Obama won the right to enter the front door of the White House, I don't think that at first he really understood just how many in government(Congress--both Party's and especially the extremist creepublican Party)along with privileged general society citizenry would have preferred he enter by the back door everyday and go straight to the kitchen, laundry or mop closet to begin working, instead of the Oval Office. Second, That is the only reason his already great legacy will not be greater. Thirdly, I think by now he has learned just how powerful the truly rich are in controlling our political system. I think TPP and the truly rich sectors quest for profit and worldwide economic dominance has made that clear. As an aside to that, with China in the same quest, quietly, a confrontation of worldwide magnitude is brewing on a back burner out of our sight.

This next Democratic Party POTUS if he/she is going to be effective will have to realize early on that one candidate will be expected, among other duties, to go straight to the kitchen and start cooking, metaphorically, for the good old boys in the Congress that will have to be ass kissed. That's those who have always made it clear that they wanted our current POTUS to enter by the back door. The second candidate will be fighting the mccarthyites for eight years, the bankers, corporation powers and a mass media controlled by the RW extremists of this country, so the tenure of either one will be a hard fought battle with one small(tongue in cheek here) exception. They will be of a privileged demographic that will allow them to be recognized as one of the usual crowd that has always entered by the front door. That will be a small plus. Thanks for the link, got the juices churning up in the old grey matter.
