When are we going to drum up the outrage that is so readily available for those who have no grounds?

There isn't much for us to do except talk to people in person, on the internet, and other less high-tech ways. They control the ground of the minds of Americans by their universal presence. They have made the case overtly and in stealth, that the majority of people, the majority of life forms on this planet, simply are unworthy of having their stories told. That the public sphere is a branch of corporate life, and not the other way around, which it should be.
Anytime that events that would develop into a progressive meme, it is interupted immediately. They aren't even subtle about it. They know that the human mind takes in all the data non-stop, and there it is forever in the subconscious to filter our reality and by simply repeating, they win the mathematics of public opinion.
Meanwhile the media drones on and on about right wing talking points to make those seem to be the reality. The real problem is that we get our information to make decisions from a totally co-opted, corrupt media. Nothing is said that is neutral as in European media, it is all bias to support the media owners.
This is a daunting enemy to fight against. I see Democrats furious at the Democratic Party and Obama, using those right wing talking points as if they are actually discussing an issue, but they are not. They don't get the details, they don't know the context, they are just outraged.
Just as they were intended to be, over something that may not effect them or anyone they know in real life and inot the whole story by any means, but gosh darned, isn't it awful! Who told them it was and didn't give them all the facts with that? The GOP controlled media.
That's even among thosewho are actively trying, not the couch potatoes watching FOX every day. It's been a horrible thing to watch how the debates are managed by the Presidential Debate corporation, censoring candidates who would give us alternatives . They could help Americans think about things that don't advantage the corporatists of the GOP, so their media makes sure these discussions NEVER take place.
There is no voice for the horrors going on in this country or abroad, that should be put there for the world to decide what our priorities are. They never give Democrats, progressives or liberals an equal shot, they portray us as weak in a rigged media circus.
Because the paid media treat us like a punching bag and we believe how it makes us feel, we have forgotten what we were fighting against in this avalanche of psychological manipulation. Americans REFUSE to admit the possibility they've been manipulated, as a matter of pride.
Sorry for the protracted rant there, but if we are going to look to the media for outrage against what the GOP is doing, or any defense of what the Democratic Party is working on to hold this country back from plunging into an abyss, we will be waiting FOREVER. I wish I had an easier solution than the hard work of contacting people in community organizations, churches and other meeting places, but I don't. The media is against the Democratic Party just as they are against Occupy, the environmentalists, the labor and human rights advocates, those trying to stop the war machine and working to help women, children and the poor.
They only report on clashes or the crimes they accuse those involved of doing, NEVER on the important ideas expressed by all of these people that would show us new ways to live.
