(27,315 posts)I do not think Biden will run, but Silver is pointing here to polls SEVERAL MONTHS AGO. The point is that Hillary Clinton's fav and unfav have changed since. So, there is no way to know how she would compare to Biden NOW.
This is pure BS. As for statistically to the right of Clinton, I have absolutely no idea what this means. If Silver wants to say he thinks Clinton should be the nominee, he should say so, but hide behind this type of flawed narrative is disingenuous.

(99,710 posts)1) Joe Biden is a good man and a great Democrat.
2) I am loathe to criticize any Democrat.
3) Nate is referring to HRC's favorability among Democrats. It is still hovering in the high 70s/low 80s
4) On the political compass and most ideological inventories of the candidates and contemporary Democratic figures Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Martin O'Malley are in a tight cluster with the difference between them relatively imperceptible.
5) I really don't believe Nate has agendas. He is one of the most respected statistical modelers in politics and sports as well as other topics.
