Kneejerk reactions against Yougov

Yougov predicted the exact outcome of the 2008 Presidential elections, http://www.politisite.com/2010/08/06/poll-accuracy-in-the-2008-presidential-election-rasmussen-pew/ and was the 3rd most accurate pollster in the 2010 congressional elections out of the 8 cited by Nate Silver.

Today Yougov is being attacked because it has Obama and Romney tied nationally among likely voters. The poll is being called "unscientific" by people not worth mentioning. It is a scientific poll. Internet poll does not make a poll automatically unscientific. It is accurate.

Here's the silliest argument I heard about the poll. But don't you know? Yougov is The Economist/Yougov! And Economist sounds like a lot of money so this poll must suck big time because it is pro-big money and therefore pro-Republican.

LOL. Seriously, that was an argument made here against Yougov.

In the meantime, filthy rich Bloomberg has Obama up by 13%. Go figure.

People, let's take off our blinders.
