Looks Like Ed Is Going Out With A Bang.....

He's really coming down hard on Hillary and is very pro-Bernie. I wonder if he is trying to go off the air sooner rather than later. I don't know if he is defying MSNBC or if this is just normal for him.

You would be correct in saying that there was a time in Ed's past when he supported the Keystone XL but after doing his own research he made a dramatic and quite public change of heart in his position. Ed has been a very outspoken critic of Keystone XL since that time.

The right-wing version of Schultz opposed abortion in all circumstances, mocked homeless people by sneering, “How about getting a job?” and proclaimed that “I’d like to see the president get all the illegals out of the country, so we can start all over again.” And in an homage to Limbaugh, Schultz would tell listeners that he was broadcasting from “high atop” the studios of his Fargo radio station.

I listened to him when he broadcast out of Bismark (I was in Minnesota).
Ed "tells it like it is",
and if the boss gets mad....so be it.

I believe Big Eddie gave more mid-westerners permission to vote for the Democrat than anyone else in the Media with his "Red Meat Eating, Gun Toting, ass kicking, UNION Democrat" format.
The Right had done an excellent job stereo typing Democrats as lily wristed, limousine riding, latte drinking, effeminate New England effetes. Bid Eddie exploded that myth.
He has turned it down a little since those days, but is still effective.

Good Job, Eddie,
and good luck

Do you remember the Iowa Caucus in 2008?
Obama WON.
Edwards took 2nd,
and Hillary was a distant 3rd.

I tuned into Olberman and Rachel to hear them trumpet the news,
but guess what.
Neither mentioned the 2nd Place Edwards....never.
The praised Obama for his WIN,
and praised Hillary for 3rd Place,
but never mentioned 2nd Place, Edwards by name,
or that there was even a 2nd place.
Neither one.
The "fix" was IN.

I had to stop watching MSNBC after that.
That wasn't "news", or even balanced commentary.
They were distributing Corporate Propaganda.
Yes, Rachel and Olberman too.

They were under orders to make it a media horse race between Obama and HIllary.

so yes they tow the corp. line I suppose. Read today somewhere (credible) that Phil Griffin (?) the head, dislikes Ed but likes Chris Hayes. Bright guy, watched him start off like a rocket to decline to a mediocre, nothing special generalist. A lot of it's the limitations by the mgmt. I realize, so they can't focus on more edgy stories.

Hayes the other night was good though when he had on a sharp young tech exec. who kept repeating the terrific 'sharing economy' (so much repetition of pop phrases by bus. types) with enthusiasm over and over until Hayes asked, 'what was shared'? The guy paused and said, 'we share platforms, ideas, all kind of things". But you're still SELLING products and services in a Market, you're not 'sharing' anything, Hayes said. It was correct and cool;, he's going to waste there. But NOMB.

I'm surprised you think that Ed, who I love, is somehow 'defying' MSNBC when the entire network has been far more pro-Sanders than pro-Clinton. Suits me fine, but, I'm not going to lie and pretend that Clinton hasn't been getting raked over the coals daily for months now. I'm like Bernie - I don't play the media's BS perception games, and I don't think he WANTS his supporters to play those BS games, either.

His show comes on at 2:00 PM Pacific, 3:00 Mountain, 4:00 Central and 5:00 Eastern. His show is particularly aimed at the "worker" demographic. So, just when, during those hours, is a worker likely to tune in? And of the other shows (Matthews, Hayes, O'Donnell, Maddow), only Ed and Sharpton are NOT repeated during the evening and night. Ed's placement in the line-up was guaranteed to draw smaller audiences than the rest. And, interesting isn't it, that he is cancelled just as we are going into the election cycle. I'm retired and home a lot so I have the good fortune to be able to watch him when his show comes on at 2:00 PM Pacific.

We live out in the Woods where even Limbaugh can't get through.
All we have is Jesus Radio, a local swap shop, and Canned Radio from Clear Channel.

We got XM 7 years ago to remain sane.
Ed is on the Progressive Channel 127 on my XM.

There are several websites that claim to offer Internet Streaming of Ed's show,
but I can't vouch for them.

Here is one:
http://tunein.com/radio/The-Ed-Schultz-Show-p20211/

Some of those are scams, so I would search around the many offered until I found one that was free,
and had a quality broadcast.

Good Luck.
