Poll: 49 Percent Believe GOP Stalling Economic Recovery In Order To Beat Obama

Nearly half of voters believe that Republicans are deliberately hamstringing efforts to resuscitate the economy in order to bolster their chances of defeating President Barack Obama, according to a new poll released Tuesday.

The latest survey from Democratic-leaning firm Public Policy Polling (PPP), conducted in conjunction with Daily Kos and SEIU, shows that 49 percent of registered voters nationwide think Republicans are “intentionally stalling efforts to jumpstart the economy” to ensure Obama’s defeat in November. Half of all independents surveyed feel the same way.

The results are sure to embolden Democrats, who have long maintained that Republicans are actively rooting for economic failure to undermine Obama politically.

I bet a majority in concert with the 49% actually believe the republican party has other reasons/plan/ ect which includes just the 49%
so 49% on the word "sabatage" or "on purpose" related to republican tacits via the economy to get rid of Obama is an extremely good number

If the people know that they are purposely being kept fearful, out-of-work and financially weak for political gain, they will have to wake-up.

Rethugs won't be able to keep the wannabes hostage as they wait for their ship to come in any longer, they will finally be forced to acknowledge that they are being used and duped.

Of course, die-hards will just continue to lie to themselves, but the values people will be disgusted.

Harry S. Truman (ca. 1948) and campaign against the 'Do-Nothing Congress'. He need not accuse them of deliberately sabotaging the economy. All he needs to do is tell the truth, that the Repigs have introduced no jobs bill since 2010. He should hammer them into the political wilderness for a generation for this.

19. Thom Hartmann: Republicans have Plotted Treason Now
Wed Jun 13, 2012, 12:09 AM
Jun 2012

Posting this video again, because it sure sounds like the Republican's have deliberately gone out of their way to sabotage Obama from the get go.

What do you call it when a small group of Republicans gather to intentionally sabotage an entire nation, just so their party can win political power off the pain of working Americans? Is it "treason"? Sedition? Or simply the most corrupt, evil, and petty sort of politics this town has seen since Newt Gingrich shut down the government and threw millions of Americans out of work because Bill Clinton had made him fly in the back of Air Force One?
