Politico: Centrist ConservaDems in Senate are CONCERNED about Bernie

Bernie's making all the right people in the Senate uncomfortable. Just missing Tom Carper and Mark Warner from this story.

http://www.politico.com/story/2015/07/bernie-sanders-2016-senate-colleagues-opinions-120007.html

“Man, when I was away on recess, I kept seeing Bernie here and Bernie there,” said Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), recounting a conversation he had with Sanders. “It was like ‘Where’s Waldo?’”

...

“I just hope they don’t move Hillary so far left that people believe she is out of the realm,” said Sen. Joe Manchin, a moderate West Virginia Democrat who supports Clinton. “I’ve seen bases move people.”

“No,” Sen. Bill Nelson said when asked if he was excited about Sanders’ candidacy. He added that Sanders would lose his critical swing state of Florida in a general election. “I’m totally behind Hillary.”

...

“Bernie is a socialist and claims that title,” said Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.), an early Clinton supporter. “I just don’t believe that someone who is a self-described socialist is going to be elected to be president of the United States.”

4. They forgot to identify McCaskill as "Paid pro-Hillary Super-PAC employee". An oversight I'm sure.

They love getting the graft and have access to the powerful.

It's time to shift that kind of thinking. Bernie's got this one right. Clinton's surrogates continue to put their foot in their mouths as a result.

Nothing new here. The Republican Light Democrats in the Senate are just doing the bidding of the Hillary campaign and its corporatist masters. Expect to see more of the "he's a socialist", "he's too far left", "he's a radical", "he's unelectable" BS from the usual Democrat corporate lackeys in the Senate. In the meantime Hillary will echo chamber Sanders where it might help her in Iowa and New Hampshire while dancing around discussion of a new Glass Steagall bill, breaking up the banks, Keystone XL or helping solve the student loan crisis. She has too much Wall Street money in her pocket to do anything else.
